Coming from an entrepreneurial Dutch family, with its roots deeply grounded in the world of spices, it was not a matter of ‘if’ but rather ‘when’ Lilian would pursue her career in the spice business. After having finished her master’s degree in Law, she soon found out that the legal field was not the right path for her.
So spices it was.

Her father, Jan Kees Hottentot -who recently retired- taught her all the tricks of the trade. And after many years of experience as wholesaler of spices, seeds, herbs and dehydrated vegetables, she is now continuing her family’s history. Bringing you the same expertise, service and quality with Hottentot Herbs & Spices BV.

And while continuing the family’s history, she is actively building the future of spice trade.
